 Quarterly Educational Seminar --

"Show Me the Money" - lending options for construction and remodeling. Local experts will discuss conventional financing, home equity loans, and reverse mortgages for home renovation and construction projects. Special emphasis will be on helping homeowners of all ages improve their residences for best use, regardless of age or physical abilities. May 16, 2:30-4:30 pm at the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County office, 5580 Centerview Drive, Suite 115 Raleigh, NC 27606. Free for C.A.R.E. Council members and $5 for non-members. CHARITY EVENTS
 
The CARE council hosts a yearly fundraiser for associated community groups. 
 

The 2013 2nd Annual C.A.R.E. for Community Fundraiser was held at Apex Cabinets, and the silent auction raised more than $2000 for the Miracle League of the Triangle -- a community of players, families and volunteers removing barriers to create positive life experiences for children with special needs and their families through baseball. www.miracleleagueofthetriangle.com

 
The 2012 event was hosted at Neuwave Systems and raised $1000 for Sassafras All Children's Playground
The Sassafras mission is to create a playground for children of all abilities by harnessing the cooperative energy, spirit and resources of the Triangle community. Sassafras All Children's Playground, in partnership with the city of Raleigh's Parks and Recreation department, is the restoration of the city's one-of-a-kind playground that gives kids, no matter what their abilities, the chance to play, imagine and soar.
