Remodelers Council

The Remodelers Council of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County is a professional organization that educates the public on choosing reputable Remodeling contractors as well as assisting the consumer in understanding the process and advantages of Remodeling.

Near the end of 1992, the Remodelers Council of Raleigh-Wake County was reorganized and began growing in size and in effectiveness.  Today, the Council is affiliated with the National Remodelers Council, the National Association of Home Builders, the North Carolina Home Builders Association, and represents and promotes the Remodeling industry in order to benefit and service its members and the community.

Since that time, the Council has done much to promote ethical and professional standards in the industry and provide members with opportunities for individual recognition through programs like the Remodelers Showcase Awards, Award of Excellence Program, the Showcasing Triangle Area Remodelers (STAR) Awards and the Remodelers Home Tour.  Members are encouraged to earn professional designations, such as Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS).

The Remodelers Home Tour presents examples of how renovations can transform living space—blending old and new for the optimum in aesthetics and function.  With projects in various price ranges, the Tour has been the perfect source for anyone planning to remodel, now or in the future, or for seeing the newest trends in the building industry (architecture and interior design).
