 About the TSMC

The Triangle Sales and Marketing Council (TSMC) was formed on April 2, 1993 by both the Home Builders Associations of Raleigh-Wake County and Durham & Orange Counties. It is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC).

This council offers professional educational training through the Institute of Residential Marketing (IRM), Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP), Advanced CSP, speakers, special seminars and other programs.

The TSMC provides an effective forum for the exchange of ideas with local, regional, and national experts in the sale and marketing of new homes, and recognizes member’s professional achievements in sales and marketing excellence through a variety of award programs. The monthly meetings and opportunities for committee involvement offer an interchange of ideas that become a valuable tool in your professional life.

The NSMC helps builders sell more homes more effectively. The council provides training, offers awards and recognition programs, and provides sales and marketing tools to members. National members receive a free subscription to the NSMC’s award-winning Sales and Marketing Ideas magazine. This bi-monthly publication contains over 50 pages of articles, tips, and recommendations by our industry’s leading sales and marketing experts.


TSMC and MAME Awards

The council recognizes member's professional achievements in sales and marketing excellence through a variety of award programs, including the Major Achievements in Marketing and Excellence (MAME) Awards.

The MAME Awards is annual event that is recognized throughout the industry and the Triangle area. These prestigious awards mirror the National Sales and Marketing Council’s Awards (part of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)), and have established themselves as the Academy Awards of new homes sales and marketing.  Learn more about the MAME Awards.
TSMC and Community Service
Members of the TSMC participate frequently in community service projects during the year. These include school supply drives, professional clothing collections, and specialty projects associated with Operation Coming Home. In 2011, the TSMC completed a fantast bedroom makeover for a special boy the with several physical and medical challenges. Learn more about it their project with April's Angels. In 2012, the TSMC took on a new community service challenge with Canstruction. Learn more about this charity design and build competition that benefited the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC. 
In December 2012 and for 2013, the TSMC supported the Salvation Army Women's Shelter. One of life’s basic necessities is shelter and the need to have a roof over one’s head. The Women’s Shelter of the Salvation Army recently moved into a new facility. This facility is a transitional home for families who have been displaced for a variety of reasons. With this new shelter, families will now be able to remain there up to 12 months as they work and shape back their savings in order to ultimately rebuild their lives. During a recent Community Service Project, the TSMC helped the Women's Shelter with this new home. Then volunteers returned to help them celebrate Christmas with a catered dinner, stockings and crafts for the children, and a visit from Santa Claus. 
In May of 2014, the TSMC held an unpacking day for the 8th Hero Home Recipient of Operation Coming Home, Sgt. Hughes. His wife was 8 1/2 months pregnant during their move. Then in June, the TSMC invited  Chris Rosati, an ALS patient and instigator of the “Krispy Kreme Heist” featured on ABC news to their breakfast. Chris gave a very motivating and inspiring talk.  After the breakfast, TSMC members hand delivered 50 dozen boxes of doughnuts to random people throughout the Triangle as a gesture of kindness with a message to inspire and give back to others around the community.
